Titel 1: Potential of Green Hydrogen in Argentina, Titel 2: Energy Scenarios Argentina 2040

Mittwoch, 05. Oktober 2022, 9:00-12:00
KIT Campus Nord, INR, Bau 521, 2. OG, Raum 302
Abstract 1 / Professor Dr. Patricio Neffa / Potential of Green Hydrogen in Argentina Key drivers of energy transition are required to ensure COP26 objectives, sovereignty in energy sources and affordable prices. - Converting electricity and water into hydrogen or synthetic fuels, is a backbone of renewable energies. - The seminar is focused on declared energy and sustainable strat-egies, energy demand and technologies, internal market for green H2 / green NH3, export capabili-ties, long distance transportation. A road-map for pilot to full scale projects is finally discussed, to con-nect the growing German/ European energy demand with real Argentine export capabilities. Abstract 2 / Professor Dr. Mauricio Roitman / Energy Scenarios Argentina 2040 The energy transition, being linked to environmental externalities, requires adequate energy planning tools to correct problems of the market forces, without inhibiting them: energy scenarios. These in-clude intensive data input and a greater digitization. Energy Scenarios of Argentina 2040 are analysed through examples of data management process and other experiences from Latin America. Some additional short-term challenges with long-term impact are discussed, introduced by coexistence of populist politics and microeconomics of the energy sector.
