The YIG Prep Pro allowed me to transition from a typical postdoc position into a leadership role, as a manager of a small group. This was critical to my development as a group leader, and has now qualified me for an Assistant Professor position.
Prof. Kristen Kozielski
The YIG Prep Pro Fellowship has provided networking opportunities, as well as non-scientific training to transition toward a group leadership role. It is a great program through which to gain skills like budget management, hiring, and grant writing that you do not learn elsewhere.
