KIT-Shuttle

The KIT hydrogen buses provide a fast connection between Campus South, Campus East, and Campus North.

Lift-sharing Benches at KIT

Missed the KIT shuttle and looking for a ride to the other campus? There are a total of three lift-sharing benches at the Campus South and the Campus North, which can be found at the following locations:

• on Engesserstraße opposite the KIT library
• at the west entrance at the end of Neuer Zirkel street
• next to the bus stop at the main entrance of Campus North

Public Transport

Students can purchase a reduced-price Deutschlandticket. Detailed information about the D-Ticket JugendBW is available from the Karlsruhe Transport Authority (Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund - KVV).

In combination with the KVV warrant, the KIT Card can also be used as a ticket in the entire KVV network. Unlike the Studikarte, it is only valid between Monday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and on weekends and holidays around the clock.

Bike Repair Stations

There are two pump and repair stations on Campuses North and South and an additional mobile bike repair service on Campus South. Employees and students can carry out minor bike repairs or have tires inflated free of charge.

Bicycle and E-bike Sharing

The KVV.nextbike service of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV) offers short-term rentals of bicycles and e-bikes. After registration, the bikes can be rented and returned flexibly at several stations. KIT Students benefit from special tariffs.
