Semester Ticket

The "Studikarte" is a personalized ticket for the entire railway network of the Karlsruhe Transport Authority (Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund - KVV). Upon presentation of the KIT-Card and the KVV warrant it is available at the International Student Center in the foyer of the dining hall at Adenauerring, at KVV service centers and at train stations.

In combination with the KVV warrant, the KIT Card can also be used as a ticket in the entire KVV network. Unlike the Studikarte, it is only valid between Monday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and on weekends and holidays around the clock.

KIT-Shuttle

The KIT hydrogen buses provide a fast connection between Campus South, Campus East, and Campus North.

Lift-sharing Benches at KIT

Missed the KIT shuttle and looking for a ride to the other campus? There are a total of three lift-sharing benches at the Campus South and the Campus North, which can be found at the following locations:

Bike Repair Stations

Two pump and repair stations and a mobile bike repair service are available on Campus South. KIT staff and students may use them free of charge to perform minor bike repairs or pump up the tires.

Bicycle and E-bike Sharing

The KVV.nextbike service of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV) offers short-term rentals of bicycles and e-bikes. After registration, the bikes can be rented and returned flexibly at several stations. Students benefit from special tariffs.

Carsharing

Those who only need a private car by the hour can make use of the Stadtmobil CarSharing service. To have access to the fleet of vehicles, it is first necessary to register as a customer. Reservations can be made online or by phone, and the vehicles are available at numerous stations in and around Karlsruhe.
