Opportunities for Young Scientists
Outstanding young researchers find excellent general conditions and development opportunities at KIT. We intensively support and advise our young scientists in all career steps from PhD to professorship. We offer attractive perspectives to our doctoral students, heads of junior research groups, and junior professors through reliable career planning and customized further education measures in a unique research environment. At KIT, we comprehensively promote the compatibility of family and scientific career.
With the Council for Research and Promotion of Young Scientists (CRYS), KIT has an interdisciplinary scientific body whose core mission includes supporting early-career researchers. Through a science-driven review process, it evaluates research proposals – including those submitted by early-career researchers – as well as award nominations, thereby supporting the Executive Board in its strategic funding decisions.
