The annual Software Engineering (SE) conference serves as a platform for exchanging experiences and insights in the field of software engineering. The conference is initiated by the Software Engineering division of the German Informatics Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V.). Numerous members contribute to the success of the event with their expert contributions. The conference is aimed at both software developers from industry and researchers from academia.

 

Main Program (February 26–28)

During the main program, researchers will present their contributions to international conferences and journals in the field of software engineering.

Keynotes in the Main Program:

• Michael Felderer: Innovating at the Intersection: Software Engineering for Science and Industry (joint keynote with the deRSE conference)
• Mira Mezini: AI-assisted Programming: From Intelligent Code Completion to Foundation Models – A Twenty-Year Journey
• Roland Weiss & Benedikt Schmidt: Software Engineering of Industrial Systems for Critical Infrastructure – Past, Present, and Future (Keynote of the Industry Day)

 

SE Industry Day (February 28)

On February 28, the SE Industry Day will take place, featuring talks on practical software development, with a focus on AI. This day is particularly aimed at software developers and project managers from industry, encouraging exchange and discussion.

Seven accompanying workshops will be held on February 24 and 25, covering the following topics:

• Research Data Management for and in Software Engineering
• Automotive Software Engineering
• Avionics Systems and Software Engineering
• Generative and Neuro-Symbolic AI in Software Engineering
• Software Engineering for Cyber-Physical Production Systems
• Learning to Program Portable GUIs
