QS Ranking: Optimum Start of Employment Thanks to KIT

QS Graduate Employability Ranking 2018: KIT Is the Best University in Germany, Seventh in Europe, and in 30th Position Worldwide

Top in Germany, 7th in Europe, and in the TOP 30 worldwide: These are the results of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the Employability Ranking published today by Quacquarelli Symonds, QS for short. This ranking focuses on the preparation of university graduates for the labor market. Among others, KIT reaches very good results for the indicator of “Cooperation with Employers,” the proportion of employed alumni, and the reputation among employers.  

 

In the area of cooperation with employers, KIT is granted 96.4 of 100 possible points. For the employment rate of graduates, KIT reaches an indicator of 92.9 (of 100). These are the best results of all participating German universities. In the overall ranking, KIT scores 78.0 (of 100) points and is in position 30 worldwide.

 

The “QS Graduate Employability Ranking” among others measures the university’s reputation among employers, the number of successful alumni, networking of the university with employers, and attractiveness of the graduates for employers in industry and business. The creators of the ranking emphasize KIT’s close cooperation with industry through strategic partnerships and joint research projects and its events for students, such as the KIT Career Fair or the Company Speed Dating.

 

The 2018 QS Graduate Employability Ranking covers 600 universities worldwide. 500 of them are listed in the ranking, among them 30 German universities. For the ranking, QS also analyzed the feedbacks of more than 30,000 employers.
