The Working Environment at KIT
From Campus South in the heart of Karlsruhe to Campus North in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, we offer modern, easily accessible infrastructure, short distances, and a vibrant community. In Karlsruhe, we also conduct research at Campus East near the Technologiepark and at Campus West in the Nordweststadt district. Beyond Karlsruhe, KIT is present in Ulm, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and Dresden.
All locations have one thing in common: They create space for ideas, exchange, and the inspiring feeling of making an impact together.
Location Advantages in Karlsruhe
Our Karlsruhe locations are very well connected, with short distances and flexible mobility options designed to fit your daily routine. The free KIT Shuttle connects Campus South, North, and East quickly and reliably. In addition, dedicated buses for KIT staff from surrounding communities make it easier to commute to Campus North in the mornings and afternoons.
Karlsruhe is a cycling city: Well-developed cycle paths, ample parking options, and short distances often make cycling the fastest means of transport. We also promote climate-friendly mobility with EV charging stations at all Karlsruhe locations and discounted JobTickets.
The KIT Library, located at several different sites, gives you access to knowledge, research, and digital resources. Our Mensa, canteens, and several cafés provide a wide range of food options right on campus. We also support parents with reliable childcare offerings that help simplify everyday life.
