Ideas for tomorrow are in the focus of the state competition ‘Jugend forscht’ (young researchers) in Baden-Württemberg. 101 young people with 58 projects have qualified for the final at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Most ideas have been developed in the areas of engineering, geosciences, and space sciences. On March 31, 2023, the exhibits will be open to the public at KIT’s Audimax, 9.30 am. The awards ceremony will start at 2 pm.

“For many participants, this competition determines their further development and may well be a first step into science or top research,” says Professor Holger Hanselka, President of KIT, which will host the state final this year. “We look forward to the promising projects of the finalists.” The final of the 58th Baden-Württemberg state competition ‘Jugend forscht’ will take place from March 29 to 31, 2023 at the Audimax on KIT’s Campus South. First, the young people will present their research projects to the jury members and can establish contacts to other participants and supervisors. On March 31, 2023, the projects will be presented to the interested public.
