The KIT Energy Center cordially invites doctoral students in the field of energy to this year´s doctoral symposium, "Graduate Research Forum - Visions for Tomorrow´s Energy System" - on July 16, 2026, at the FTU (Fortbildungszentrum für Technik und Umwelt) at Campus North.

The event offers doctoral students the opportunity to present their research to a broad audience, discuss current topics in energy research, and network with other early-career researchers at KIT.

In addition to a keynote speech by Markus Roth on inertial fusion, this year´s program features a special highlight: for the first time, selected videos created by doctoral students will be presented as part of a video competition organized by the EnBW Foundation. The best video will then be awarded a prize by Prof. Wolfram Münch.

The program is complemented by the traditional poster session, where doctoral students present their research. The poster exhibition provides a space for technical discussions and personal exchanges over coffee and snacks.

1:30 - 1:40 p.m. Welcome - Dr. Walter Tromm
1:40 - 2:20 p.m. Keynote: "Inertial Fusion" - Prof. Dr. Markus Roth (TU Darmstadt), followed by a Q&A session
