With 1,276 rooms, the KIT e.V. residence is the largest non-profit provider of student accommodation in Karlsruhe after the Studierendenwerk. In Hagsfelder Allee, the association is now building a student residence, funded by the Schroff Foundations, which will in future offer accommodation for 103 students. Representatives of the media are cordially invited to the laying of the foundation stone by Ingrid Schroff, Chairwoman of the Foundation and Honorary Senator of KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), with welcome speeches by Professor Holger Hanselka, President of KIT, and Professor Olaf Dössel, Chairman of Studentenwohnheim e.V., on August 26, 2020, at 2 pm.
