In the current university ranking of the Center for University De-velopment (CHE), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is ranked excellent in the subject of Economics Engineering. In the categories of “Overall studies situation” and “International orien-tation”, KIT is in the top group. The CHE University Ranking will be published on Tuesday, May 06, in the ZEIT Studienführer 2014/2015.
Economics Engineering is ranked in the top group for eight indicators. In particular, the judgments of students are very good. Apart from the “Overall studies situation”, the teaching offers, job orientation, e-learning, and IT equipment were rated excellent by the KIT students.
The subject of “Information Engineering and Management” also reached the top group as regards the indicators of “Practice orienta-tion” and “Scientific publications”.
Every year, the CHE University Ranking newly evaluates one third of the disciplines. In 2014, these were Business Management, Econom-ics, Business Engineering, Law, Social Work, Media Science, Busi-ness Informatics, Economics Engineering, and Business Law. Of these disciplines, KIT only offers the subjects of economics engineer-ing and business informatics that is called information engineering and management at KIT.
The CHE University Ranking covers more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Apart from criteria relating to studies, teaching, equipment, and research, the ranking is based on judgments of stu-dents regarding the conditions of the studies at their university.
The current CHE university ranking will be published on May 06, 2014 in the ZEIT Studienführer 2014/15. It is now available online at www.zeit.de/hochschulranking.
