Alfried Krupp Förderpreis

The Alfried Krupp Förderpreis has been awarded annually since 1986 by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation to young professors in the natural or engineering sciences who hold their first W2 or W3 professorship. The prize is one of the most highly endowed awards for young scientists. The prize money of one million Euros is intended to enable the researchers to create an improved working environment for themselves within five years, independently of public funding, and thus to advance their activities in research and teaching.
