This year will see the 4th edition of the Career Fair organized by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology – a central platform for meeting potential employers and making contacts. It will be held from May 31 to June 2 on the KIT Campus South (exhibition tent in front of the Audimax and Audimax Foyer, Straße am Forum 1). Events start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. At their own stands and in short presentations, the companies will present themselves to the students, post-graduates and alumni from KIT and other Karlsruhe institutions of higher learning.

Nearly all important industries will be present at the 4th KIT Career Fair, including car manufacturers and their suppliers, energy companies, chemicals groups and food manufacturers, but also providers of software solutions and communication technology, from SMBs to big corporations. As in the previous years, specific theme days provide initial guidance: on Tuesday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 1, the focus will lie on engineering, humanities, and natural sciences, Thursday, June 2, will be dedicated to computer science and economics.

For the first time, employers and job candidates have the possibility to better get to know each other through 15-minute interviews. To qualify, the candidates had to supply CV information and register on the Internet beforehand. This way, they can be brought into contact with companies that suit their job orientation. (Personal meetings only upon invitation.) Moreover, the companies will give short presentations and technical lectures to inform about their day-to-day activities and their current projects. This fair is an ideal forum for interested young professionals to obtain information about career opportunities and make contacts with company representatives. Besides the central events, the career fair offers checks of application folders and – upon prior arrangement – application photo shootings.
