The project LabIMotion Catalysis deals with the adaptation of LabIMotion ELN to the requirements in the field of catalysis. This adaptation will promote the use of LabIMotion ELN in scientific communities beyond pure chemistry. It will cover the needs of users in fields like catalysis, biocatalysis, electrocatalysis, materials sciences, and energy production/conversion.

The project has two major aims:

  1. The adaptation of the software will enable it to meet the requirements of catalysis in different applications. This will facilitate the establishment of research data management strategies of working groups at KIT in the field of heterogeneous, homogeneous, and biological catalysis.
  2. Driven by the well-organized catalysis community in Germany, the establishment of the ELN in these communities shall foster the use of the LabIMotion software on a national level and its integration in the activities of NFDI4Cat and DAPHNE4NFDI. The national relevance of LabIMotion can be enhanced with this project, benefiting from the participation of KIT scientists in NFDI4Cat, DAPHNE and the collaborative research center (CRC) 1441 TrackAct, being part of the coordinated efforts of all seven CRCs working on topics related to catalysis in Germany.
