About 5,000 new students will begin their studies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the coming winter semester. The traditional welcome ceremony for them and their families will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019, 18.00 hrs, at the Schwarzwaldhalle of the Karlsruhe Congress Center.

“At KIT, we prepare our students for taking over responsible tasks in science, industry, and society. We rely on research-based education for our students to learn at an early stage to identify problems independently, to tackle research problems, and to develop sustainable solutions,” says Professor Alexander Wanner, Vice-President for Higher Education and Academic Affairs of KIT.

The event will be in German.
