A stage, a great idea, and three minutes to present it. This is the Falling Walls Lab Karlsruhe that will take place on Friday, July 12th, 2019, 14.00 o’clock, at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The international forum gives ambitious talents, innovators, and creative minds the opportunity to present themselves and their research work, ideas or business models. At KIT, the best “labsters” from Southwest Germany will present their groundbreaking ideas in, among others, life and environmental sciences, computer science, or mobility research. The interested public and the media are cordially invited.
For the first time, KIT will organize the Falling Walls Lab in Southwest Germany. The best participant will attend the final Falling Walls Lab on November 08th, 2019, in Berlin. There, the best “labsters” from all over the world will compete against each other. The top three will win prize money and the opportunity to present their topics on the big stage of the Falling Walls Conference. At this international conference on November 09th, 2019 in Berlin, 100 leading scientists worldwide will present their scientific and social solutions for global challenges, such as climate change, energy production, health, safety, or fair and sustainable economy.
Jury from Science and Industry
A jury headed by Professor Thomas Hirth, KIT Vice-President for Innovation and International Affairs, will decide on the winner of the Falling Walls Lab Karlsruhe who will then travel to Berlin in November. The other five jury members come from the University of Freiburg, the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in Karlsruhe, and from Carl Zeiss AG, BASF SE, and SAP SE.
