Nano- and Microsystems Program (NANOMICRO) is dedicated towards research and development of
- quantum size effects and molecular building blocks
- new and novel functional materials beyond IC-materials
- reliable processing and characterisation technologies
- new optical and photonic systems
- energy storage systems
Its activities cover the entire range from fundamental science to high performance technologies and integrated systems. NANOMICRO operates the Karlsruhe Nano Micro Facility (KNMF) which represents a composition of facilities, technologies, and processes of nano- and microtechnology .
