Today’s society is coined to a large extent by science and technology in nearly all areas of life. At the same time, science and technology are facing new challenges resulting from societal change.
The KIT Humans and Technology Center deals with social and cultural aspects and problems associated with science and technology. It pools the competences of about 400 scientists from 35 institutes of KIT. The large spectrum of research covers topics like advancing digitization, social impacts of technical innovations, or use of renewable energies and resources.
