Information science studies at KIT have the best reputation among HR managers all over Germany. This is the result of the current university ranking of the WirtschaftsWoche magazine. In economic engineering, mechanical engineering, and natural sciences, KIT ranks second. In electrical engineering, it ranks in third place. Considering all subjects, KIT ranks third among German universities.

The ranking is based on a survey made by WirtschaftsWoche. 534 HR managers of large German enterprises took part. 66.1 % of them work at companies with more than 1000 employees. The HR man-agers were asked from which university or university of applied sciences the best graduates come from. In particular, close-to-industry studies were considered.

Based on the rankings in the individual disciplines, the WirtschaftsWoche derived a total ranking. Only RWTH Aachen and TU Darmstadt were found to rank ahead of KIT, but with the same scores. The result of the ranking shows that the studies offered by KIT are indeed tailored to the needs of industry.

Further information on the ranking is available at www.wiwo.de/management-erfolg/
