Nine newly established YIGs at KIT – 9th Call for proposals launched

In January 2012, nine new KIT-Young Investigator Groups (YIGs) have been established within the 8th call for proposals.

Once again, the Council for Research and Promotion of Young Scientist (CRYS) examined very interesting  project ideas of outstanding young scientists.

KIT is searching for outstanding young scientists worldwide, up to twelve months after completion of the doctoral degree. The funding measure, launched at KIT within the Institutional Strategy / Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments, serves to promote young scientists, support early independent research, and strengthen the research profile of KIT. The funding measure offers young scientists the possibility to gain first experience in the establishment and leadership of a group at an early stage of their career.

For a list of YIGs already founded, please refer to http://www.kit.edu/research/5602.php.

Closing date for application is Friday, 30 March 2012, 3 p. m. CET (term of exclusion).
