2015 KIT PhD Days: Information — Orientation — Networking

From Tuesday, September 29, to Friday, October 2, KIT will hold its second PhD Days for all doctoral researchers at KIT as well as all students interested in doing a PhD.

According to the theme "Information — Orientation — Networking", the KIT PhD Days will offer a large number of presentations and workshops about the various aspects of doing a PhD at KIT. The KIT PhD Days will be officially opened on Tuesday afternoon with a panel discussion on "Publish or Perish – sinnvoll promovieren?".

On Wednesday, there will be the opportunity to hear a number of presentations on topics important for doing a PhD and about the manifold services offered by KIT to support your research. Moreover, the four graduate schools at KIT will present their respective research, their training and supervision programs as well as their funding schemes.

Furthermore, a number of workshops allow to engage in a more interactive fashion. The first such opportunity will be provided on Wednesday afternoon with the International experience lab. On Thursday and Friday, Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS) offers workshops on topics such as careermanagement and the pros and cons of doing a PhD.
