This Competence Field deals with all fundamental and applied aspects of handling and control of single phase or multiphase flows. This includes particle synthesis and particle technologies with a special emphasis on particle fluid-interaction for the manufacturing of tailor-made materials. Flow measurement technologies and simulation tools are used to study and optimize flow phenomena for improved processes. It includes: Tritium technology, vacuum technology, high power microwaves technology, liquid metal technologies, micro fluidics and magneto-hydrodynamics.
