Kompetenzfeld "Chemische und Thermische Verfahrenstechnik"

The focus of this Competence Field is the development of new or the improvement of established processes for the transformation of matter and energy as well as for product formulation. Thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and chemical kinetics are the most important basic topics for this research area. Especially the behavior and the properties of multicomponent and multiphase systems are of special interest for process design. The field includes thermal separation processes, thermodynamic and cryogenic cycles, supercritical fluid technology, chemical reaction technology in general, as well as the development of novel catalysts and their application in chemical and biochemical processes.
