”Junger Kulturkanal"
In the program of the “Junger Kulturkanal”, an offer of the Karlsruhe LernRadio, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology has several broadcast slots. The LernRadio is a project of the extended studies course of “Music journalism for broadcasting” of the Karlsruhe State University of Music. The LernRadio is financed by the State Authority for Communication.
- Radio Fri
The broadcast slot of the KIT is called Radio Fri. Here, students of the university are producing own programs under expert supervision. The varied program is broadcasted every Monday from 17.00 to 18.00 hrs at the frequency of 104.8 MHz.
- Magazine Engineering and the Environment
Scientific news from the national laboratory are presented by the weekly magazine Engineering and the Environment. It is broadcasted every Thursday from 17.00 to 18.00 hrs. Engineering and the Environment is produced by students of the Karlsruhe LernRadio. The magazine is transmitted in the region of Karlsruhe at VHF 104.8 MHz or via cable at 100.2 and in addition as an internet live stream. Oral contributions of all programs are also made available as audio files. A preview of the current program is offered by the “Junger Kulturkanal”.
- Magazine KIT On Air
News from the KIT – mixed with pop music, world music, classics, and jazz – are broadcasted every Tuesday from 10 to 11 hrs by the magazine KIT On Air. In interviews, KIT employees report about exciting projects. In addition, reportages and short news are offered. Also this program is produced in cooperation with the “Junger Kulturkanal”. KIT On Air can be received in the region of Karlsruhe at VHF 104.8 MHz or via cable at 100.2 as well as via internet live stream. The oral contributions or programs are also offered as audio files. Magazine Campus Report on “Radio Regenbogen”
Every Tuesday between 19 and 20 hrs, the campus report on “Radio Regenbogen” highlights current developments and events at the state universities of Freiburg, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, and Mannheim. It is reported about latest news from research and education, interesting persons, and student-relevant topics of regional importance.
The Campus Report for Karlsruhe is broadcasted every Tuesday at 19.40 hrs, in Karlsruhe at the frequency of 100.4 MHz. All programs are also offered as audio files.
Magazine ExtraHertz on R.TV
The regional broadcasting station R.TV broadcasts the 10-minute university magazine ExtraHertz on a weekly basis. It supplies information on the activities of the universities at Karlsruhe and students’ life. Every Saturday at 18.15 hrs, R.TV offers news on current research projects, information for freshmen, and tips regarding student events.
